MIR Space Station

The MIR Space Station travels northeast over southern Ontario. As with the International Space Station, these spacecraft always appear somewhere in the western sky and travel eastward. After 15 years and 86,331 orbits around Earth the Russian Space Station was de-orbited on March 28,2001. The term "de-orbited" is the politically correct way of saying "crashed and burned".
